The Culajao Mangrove Eco park

This educational place is located in Culajao, Roxas City, Capiz. Not far from the city. It is managed by Mr. Rodulfo Alcazaren the President of their association the Katunggan sa Culajao Salbaron Association. The date inauguration was 17 June 2008. He tell us about those mangroves benefits and it has a knowledge when we listen what he is telling us like give importance for our mangroves.
Culajao Mangrove Eco park in Roxas City, Capiz is much smaller at 4.6 hectares. But he said that he has a plan to rebuild this place to a simple but interesting educational tours for the visitors of the Culajao Mangrove Ecopark and has more mangrove species.
Culajao Ecopark is home to 19 mangrove species, eleven kinds of birds, twenty-three shellfishes, ten mollusks, seven fishes, and eight insects. Watch the other exotic bird flying like heron around by catching fish for its food. A fish cage is also available for line and hook fishing.
Recently, the Culajao Mangrove Ecopark has received a special citation as “Eco Tourism Product” during the Western Visayas Tourism Assembly.
This place is best for educational tours, group fellowship to gain firsthand knowledge and a simple family picnic. There are cottages available.
